As a community, we are still processing the loss of our dear friend and leader, Dr. Joe Daniels.

The Keyes Dean of Business Administration was a fixture for nearly 30 years on campus as a professor, advisor and mentor. There was an outpouring of memories in the wake of his death this week.

At an overflowing prayer service on campus, Father James Voiss, S.J., told us all to keep sharing these stories. Some will make us laugh. Some will make us smile. Some will make us cry. But they all will help us honor his extraordinary life.

In that spirit, we are sharing some of the memories here from students, faculty, alumni and friends. We encourage you to add your own.

In lieu of flowers, the Daniels family wishes to have gifts made in Joe’s honor to Marquette University, to help establish a scholarship in Joe’s name.

Scholarship gifts can be made to Marquette University, University Advancement, PO Box 1881, Milwaukee, WI 53201–1881 or at http://bit.ly/joe-daniels-memorial
